Ten (10) friendship dyads of the same gender were interviewed utilizing 13 open-ended questions. An additional 215 single adults also participated in a 25-question survey. Based on Scripture, the thirteen lessons draw on cognitive and behavioral psychology, vocational literature, spouse selection research and the experience of marriage counselors.  The class learns four remedies for irresponsibility: recognizing responsibility, prioritizing roles, controlling feelings and participating in a support group.  Learners identify career myths and are trained to administer an early vocational guidance instrument.
