Evaluative research formed the basis of inquiry exploring 2 Corinthians 3:18, its surrounding context (3:1-7:1), Exodus 33:18-19 and Genesis 3:1-6 to form a biblical framework of creation, fall and redemption. The Transtheoretical model derived from studies of addictions and best-of-practice interviews supplied training insights. Although there have been great strides accomplished in the meeting of hearts and minds of denominational leaders, implementation of dialogue has not been effectively performed in the context of local congregations, depriving the church of a vibrant means of theological and relational growth. The project director researched various small group models and methods of strategic spiritual formation for a standard for curriculum development. The director identified and enlisted a strategy team at Southside Baptist Church. He used six sessions to equip the strategy team to develop a strategy. The strategy team developed a spiritual formation strategy using small groups. Using two groups based on religious backgrounds, both were given instructions designed to bring awareness to spiritual gifts and the involvement of the Holy Spirit in particular, in forming Ministry Teams.
