It was hoped that the researcher's interactions with pastors, church leaders, and Christian social ministries in Cameroon would reveal the extent of practical ministries on behalf of the poor. Almost all the pastors and church leaders sampled knew these problems were extensive but they were not involved in programs or personal assistance for widows, orphans, or social outcasts who attend services with them on Sundays. Its research developed a definition for prophetic preaching by exploring the writings of the biblical prophets. It also studied the psychological, ecclesial, and cultural factors that encourage or discourage such preaching for today's priest. Through surveys and focus group sessions, the experience of today's Church with prophetic preaching was explored. During the process the leadership team will be exposed to the realities of their original biblical purpose, current ministry context, and available resources. Specifically, the author implemented, observed, and evaluated the impact of introducing the worship arts (dance, drama, music, visual and media art) into the corporate worship experience. Ultimately, the author concluded that the introduction of the worship arts into the corporate worship experience has reinvigorated the worship spirit of the congregation and heightened the congregation's receptivity to change. Research design methods included a two-part data collection effort. Part one consisted of a wide-scope examination of the general nature of leadership. Part two contained a focused, three-phased analysis of American African leadership figures. Data taken from project research revealed the nature of American African leadership development. Additional research revealed ineffective leadership paradigms such as a black theology of liberation.
