The project the study focuses on took place in Big Bend National Park in 2020. The author looks closely at the Biblical record and uses four primary examples as case studies. _Special attention is given to generational theory, nature deficit disorder, and digital nativity. The author looks at the complex issues and difficulties that Young Millennials face in growing as spiritual leaders, and he explores how a wilderness program with a solo component can address those issues and help to bridge the generation gap between Young Millennials and former generations. _This is a qualitive study that relies highly on interviews, journals, surveys andreflections from person experience. The curriculum included book studies, mission outreach, and the spiritual practices of prayer, Scripture reading, silence, and shared work like the Taizé community. Quantitative and qualitative data was collected at baseline, mid-point, and endpoint. The purpose of this eight-week curriculum is to teach the students to walk with God on a daily basis allowing the Holy Spirit to transform them into the likeness of Christ through a lifelong process. Chapter 1 introduces the problem and the ministry setting. The research question, purpose statement and thesis will also be discussed.  Chapter 2 looks at the theological foundation for the discipleship of individuals with cognitive disabilities. It discusses the image of God in Old and New Testament references. It also reviews the four views of the image of God: substantive, functional, relational and Christological. This chapter will also review related literature and the ministry application of this project.Chapter 3 discusses the significance of the study as well as the limitations and delimitations. This chapter will also discuss key definitions and the population being researched by including an ethnographic study of the disability community and demographical information of participants within each group home. The final section will discuss the project plan and the curriculum. The section discussing the curriculum will cover goals and objectives, the lessons, the time frame and the pre-assessment and post-assessment surveys.Chapter 4 discusses the development and the implementation of the curriculum.  This chapter will also discuss evaluation of the project by evaluating the data from the pre-assessment and post-assessment surveys.Chapter 5 includes a thorough evaluation of the research data and a theological reflection. This will be explored through three avenues. The first is a spiritual autobiography describing the author’s own spiritual formation in response to the question: How will I know God’s voice? The author’s discernment of vocational call to spiritual direction and supervision will be shared. The second is through the development of a Trinitarian Spiritual Formation Model as informed by Trinitarian Spiritual Formation anchored in trinitarian theology. In the face of hybrid forms of spiritual direction, this understanding of spiritual formation will be applied to the question: What makes spiritual direction, spiritual direction? The third is through a field research project that attends to the spiritual formation of Tyndale graduate spiritual directors. The project is guided by the question: Does attending to the spiritual formation of directors through a contemplative evocative approach better equip them to discern a calling to the supervision of directors? Developing tools and training to help equip wives to be healthier spiritually and emotionally can have potential long-lasting results for the wife herself and her husband, family, ministry, church, community, and world. Equipping pastors’ wives through training in biblical counseling will help pastors’ wives grow spiritually and develop the competence and tools to nurture others spiritually.The purpose of this project was to develop a strategy and framework outline for equipping that can help a pastor’s wife grow in her faith and learn how to give biblical counsel to others, which, in turn, can help others grow in their faith. This growth can have a Kingdom impact, resulting in the multiplication of disciples and disciple-makers and development of spiritual maturity. A pastor who wants to equip people to be missional sees that they are already participating in God’s mission through their vocations. This qualitative research involved interviewing eight pastors who are leading their congregants to be missional in their vocations. The literature review explored the mission of God’s people and a theology of vocation. The interviews discovered what pastors attempted to help people be missional though their vocations, what challenges they faced, and their results. The project director researched spiritual formation, various approaches to discipleship in the church, and church strategy planning to determine best practices to fit First Baptist Denison. The project director also performed an internal audit of the Church's current adult discipleship process to determine how the church must improve in providing a clear pat of spiritual development,The project director selected a team of church members, consisting of five core leaders who led triads within the fifteen-person group during the discipleship strategy planning process, which took place over five sessions, to develop a discipleship strategy that encompasses and directs all church programs and ministries. The project director developed a communication plan for the resulting discipleship strategy with the five core leaders, published as a one-page tracking sheet for members to direct and track their spiritual growth.
