This project demonstrates that the Christian practices of worship, learning, fellowship, and gifts of service strengthen individual disciples within a more inclusive body of Christ. The research was conducted through focus groups with the members of a group home and some members of their circles of support. A Church 360 survey was used to decipher the congregation's perception of their current missional posture. Then, focus groups were conducted to mine out missional narratives from the church's past. Finally, missional experiments were conducted throughout the community. The survey results indicated that people's understanding of their involvement in the mission of God was not uniform. One way for churches to help in Christian identity formation is through the practice of testimony, when members share their faith stories to encourage and nurture one another. This report briefly explores Christian identity formation in the twenty-first century along with the understanding of testimony in the Bible and church history. Then it details how one congregation has begun the practice of testimony, with members sharing faith stories in worship. Some are involved in music department ensembles which require their participation, several are over-involved in leadership activities, and others have rigorous majors. These student leaders need at least two formational realities: a spiritual formation model that does not add another layer of activity to their already hectic lives, and an intentional formational relationship with a pastoral educator-mentor who can help them engage in meaningful practices of Christian spiritual formation and deepen their skills in worship leadership. Distinctive pilot groups allowed the author to research, investigate, and delineate ideas and models for intentional formation mentoring. The participants experienced transformation of self through self reflection and deeper encounter with the Lord. Their feedback also suggested a possibility of using the program for small groups. The research method used was Participatory Action Research (PAR) in an eight-week, small group process. All adults were able to identify personal growth as a result of the experience.
