The author used for this study a combination of the 'ethnographic research method' and pro-active research method as outlined by William R. Myers' Research in Ministry: A Primer for the Doctor of Ministry Program. The author concluded that no evidence of biases could be found as stated in the thesis. He sought to determine how life in covenant with other clergy around a specific theme could edify the body and help each to grow in faith and grace on the order of the first Methodist preachers.
