The stated goal of the project was to include church members with impaired mobility, and nursing home residents unable to attend local fellowships, as ministry participants in a weekly visitation program. Surveys employed to measure the effectiveness of the project's development and implementation provided statistical insight into the effectiveness and feasibility of such an endeavor. Visitation teams were trained to visit in the homes of the shut-in members of two churches in Central Pennsylvania.  These teams visited twelve members and took the Sacrament of Holy Communion to the people.  The results of our work revealed the 90% of the absent members were delighted to be visited, by the Lay Visitation Teams and to receive Communion.
