Through a process of biblical education and forging an interpersonal trust relationship with the unchurched Hispanic, the pastor would have an opportunity to overcome some of the barriers of prejudice and misinformation which often prevent an Hispanic outsider from accepting an invitation to attend a Protestant church. Over the three-month test period, 47 adults participated in the home Bible study program.  Sixteen of the participants had never visited El Redentor Spanish Lutheran Church.  Of these, eleven persons subsequently attended a church worship service and five sought formal membership within four months. Techniques used were the pastor's home visits and family dialogue which invited family members to write and share notes on topics they agreed to discuss.  The pastor made one home visit before the ceremony of confirmation and the second visit afterwards.  The information gleaned from these conversations shed light on the inner life of the families, their systems, traditions, hurts and hopes. Growth in visitation skills is measured by a pre- and post-test given to each visitor. Spiritual growth of the visitors is assessed. Disciples' theology on pastoral visitation was reviewed, and a survey of Disciples ministers in Kansas was made.  A strategy for pastoral visitation in the pastors' studies was developed in notebook form and field-tested. Research into the process of Indochinese migration into Australia also is included.  A survey was conducted among churches in Sydney to discover the distinctive elements of Chinese evangelism.  A training program was developed based on the findings. This program was tested and retested.
