Personal Bible study is indispensible in their spiritual growth. However, they do not study the Bible due to their inexperience with how to study the Bible, their lack of motivation or their laziness. The purpose of the project is to utilize inductive Bible study for spiritual growth of the selected youth at Bakersfield Korean Baptist Church in Bakersfield, CA. The writer designs to complete numerous hours of study as well as reflections and implement a twelve-week training that meets in weekly sessions. By law, schools offer a limited scope of sexuality in curriculum confined to relatively universal values and medical information. As a community of faith, the church has an essential voice and obligation to provide sexuality education beyond what the secular world provides tweens, youth in grades 4-7, and their parents during this crucial developmental stage. First, the project director researched critical mission issues and skills for cross-cultural ministry in order to develop a tool to train youth for ministering cross-culturally overseas. Second, the director developed a teaching module for selected Southern baptist leaders in Texas to use to train youth for ministry in cross-cultural setting. Last, the director equipped selected Southern baptist leaders in Texas with the teaching module to train youth in ministering cross-culturally. These selected leaders along with the youth participants provided assessment and evaluation regarding the effectiveness and usefulness of the training module. In addition to the ministry goals, the project director pursued two professional goals. The first professional goal was to increase knowledge in cross-cultural ministry for the purpose of developing a tool for training youth. It also gathers by questionnaire data from 20 youth who participated in two seminars concerning Black history and self-esteem. College students completed a survey instrument that demonstrated many anti-Christian hostilities. As a result of that survey, a curriculum was developed to be used among college-bound mid-adolescents to equip them with the necessary tools to defend and stand firm in their Christian faith. Alongside the curriculum, the survey instrument also indicated the need and value for an active mentoring ministry to be employed amongst the church's mid-adolescents.
