The contextual approach developed by Ivan Boszormenyi-Nagy and the relational-ethical thinking of Martin Buber are applied. Based on these perspectives, the specific trust-building and trust-diminishing aspects of biblical teachings, the inherited church history, and present church life are investigated.  Modalities are outlined which reverse the process of losing trust and which enable persons to accept their relational responsibilities vis-à-vis others and the inherited legacy. For many centuries the daily office played an important role in the spiritual life of Christians.  Through a long history of adornment and complications the office was taken away from the people, and nothing has been developed to take its place.  The possibilities for its renewal are evidenced by several successful experiments with the office in local churches. The Study Guide designed by the author for this project report was used in a group of eight persons.  The Study Guide was structured to assist the participants in a learning process towards growth.  It was a learning process that merged the cognitive (empirical knowledge of six selected Psalms) with the affective (the participant's feelings while responding to the emotional utterances of the psalmist).  It was a learning experience that proved to be different for most of the participants in that it was a spiritual growth experience. A handbook was produced which includes samples of the Agape and general and specific guidelines for its practice in congregations and family units.  The study begins with a literature survey and then moves into a description of field research of contemporary practice in the USA, British Isles, Europe and Australasia. Christians have turned to their churches and pastors to cope with the feelings of loneliness, fear, and frustration.  The pastor cannot meet all the needs of these people by himself.  To help church members fulfill their Christian ministry a training program was developed covering the following resources: 1) needs of recent immigrant Koreans; 2) principles of pastoral care; 3) skills of pastoral care.  At the conclusion, lay-shepherds had taken responsibility for one another with skills and perspectives of pastoral care and expressed growth in personality and spirituality. This project introduces the pastor in Monroe County, New York, to the Therapeutic Alternatives for Sexually Abused Children and Their Families (TASA) program.  TASA deals with incest, intrafamily sexual abuse through the court system and with therapeutic alternatives. The dynamics of an incestuous family are explored as well as ways in which the pastor may become an intervenor in an incestuous family.  The project concludes that incest occurs in greater frequency than most individuals are aware. The pastor is a potentially powerful source in intervention and in ministering to the families.
