A task force was recruited to investigate methods of announcing the lordship of Christ by adopting the role of journalists for the church. Its method and results were studied over a period of several months through participation in the group, frequent consultation with the minister of the church, detailed interviews with members of the church. The written project offers a theological reflection on these activities. The findings of this study are based on library research, listening and 20 years of the researcher's pastoral experience. The study concludes that marriage is a this-world human institution planned by God (Gen 2:18, Matt 22:30). It was planned for alleviation of loneliness, a fulfilling sexual intercourse, procreation, economic support and mutual responsibility for God's creation. The research was done via questionnaires and a personal visit to each church by the author. It revealed that there were growing Baptist churches in all four states. Fifteen characteristics were readily acknowledged as significant in these churches and their growth. The characteristics receiving the highest ratings were: uplifting worship services, evangelistic strategy, Bible-centeredness, aggressive pastoral leadership and well-paid staff."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Miscellaneous"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["4f3e9d5f-fc19-4d44-a264-44b56604eb9a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799717291283185664,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:15:57.489Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:45:08Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T02:35:23Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"0da7a48f-f314-4514-b3b2-ef1b85941cdb","accessControl_ssim":["75314660-c01e-44f3-8c96-4b207df2a3e8"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["A comparative study of Christian Protestant schools, kindergarten through grade twelve, in Kankakee and Bourbonnais, Illinois"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T21:45:08Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:30:16Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["06f6e79f-9806-47ba-a89a-07db744007fe"],"hasLease_ssim":["ff728c7f-e31f-43d3-97e7-18b5556a121d"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["North American Baptist Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Stephen Brachlow"],"year_tesim":["1983"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Robert F Penner"],"publisher_tesim":["North American Baptist Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church schools--Philosophy","Pastoral theology--Study and teaching","Christian education of children","Church and education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["A study of five Christian schools is made to become knowledgeable in philosophies, methodologies, and organizational structures for the purpose of implementing a church-operated school.
