The project seeks to prepare students for the requirements and dynamics of ordination, relocation, interviewing, financial negotiation, responding to a call, ministerial ethics, and the first months in the resident pastorate. The structure was drastically changed in 1972 from the traditional elders, deacons, and deaconesses to a cabinet of seventy. Since its inception, there have been no attempts to evaluate the new structure for effectiveness. The report deals with the planning and coordination among several official helping agencies on the base. It explores pastors' experiences with and their denial of loneliness.  The study explores both the necessity and the possibility of embracing loneliness within pastoral ministry.  The disclosive sample of five married, parish-based Lutheran clergy, basically through interviews and a nine-month long group seminar, expresses and engages experiences of loneliness in pastoral ministry.  It is discovered that loneliness is a real experience in pastoral ministry, often experienced and perceived in negative terms. It was a program developed by a group in the congregation under the author's leadership.  This program engaged a significant number from the congregation in a study throughout ten months of a year that involved biblical, historical, theological and pastoral aspects of Christian worship, and the development of a planning process for worship services. The methods used were sociologically framed and praxis based. They were informed by qualitative research (grounded theory) and colored by the author's own poetic, intuitive learning.
