It develops a research instrument (the Religious Orientations Questionnaire), which is given to a population that has Millon Clinical Multiaxial Inventories on file.  The clients answer essay questions on satisfaction in living, their understanding of faith, God and the helpfulness of pastoral counseling and submit follow-up questionnaires.  The project reports on discussions with the pastoral counselors of the clients and draws practical implications.  The study concludes that differing religious orientations can be documented between clients with histrionic and compulsive patterns.  Female clients of all personality groups score closer to histrionic religious patterns.  No other gender-related findings can be ascertained. A group of lay persons were involved in an educational process directed at learning about these needs.  Each lay person then was paired with one inner-city youth in order to develop a relationship. Throughout this project both groups were given surveys to determine if their involvement would produce changes in attitudes. The program shows that the involvement of lay persons with the youth changed the lay attitudes, if not their theology. Over a period of three weekends Sinhalese and Tamil Sri Lankan students shared experiences with host families and members of Cove Spring Church.  Participants experienced increased sensitivity, trust, respect, appreciation, willingness to risk, and reconciliation in this venture. It examines the influence of job needs/values on individuals by considering four work groups in a Midwest electric utility. Ideal job needs/values are compared to the present job needs/values to see what workers wanted from their ideal job.  These needs/values are correlated with the morale of these individuals and with unobtrusive measures of morale. Specific personal values and job needs/values are determined to be dominant.  Certain needs are descriptive and are met in the participants' present jobs.  Yet, these are not the needs that these individuals want their ideal job to fulfill. The program's premise is that antisocial behavior correlates with inappropriate or lack of appropriate socialization, ie, poor sense of self, irresponsibility, and insensitivity toward others.  The project designs programs to develop socialization skills and accountability.  A fourfold greater recidivism is noted in the control group which is comprised of those who are dropped for nonparticipation than in the treated group which consists of those who graduate.  The project presents six representative case studies. In the beginning of the two-year saga, they perceive their task as survival in spite of all obstacles. They are both adversarial and victimized. The situation requires a relentless application of practical truth and pastoral care in a context of theological reflection. It designed and tested a thirty-six hour workshop that helped eleven participants learn: 1) ways of identifying burnout; 2) what effects burnout can have on one's spiritual and physical conditions; and 3) ways clergy can equip themselves to cope with burnout and retain their effectiveness as ministers.  The project developed three instruments: a Self-Evaluation Survey on Burnout; a Fatigue Factor Survey; and a Participant's Evaluation Form.  This process was successful in raising participants' consciousness about burnout. The document outlines the process involved in completing these three tasks, suggests a theological basis for sponsorship, and presents one model for recruiting and training RCIA sponsors. The project then considers research on Yoruba Christian history, customs and practices.  Many participants returned evaluation forms.
