The project analyzes the internal articulations and variations of the Free Will Baptists as well as their relationships to other Baptist groups.  Chapter two provides a methodology and a theory which accepts the doctrine of free will as the point of departure in the movement's theology. It examines the identity, theology, authority and function of the sage in the Old Testament and the wisdom genre in the New Testament.  The project draws on research in the areas of Old Testament theology and biblical studies.  Four hundred thirty-five campus ministers are surveyed to learn their model preferences.  The author examines the strengths and limitations of these models of ministry.
