Worship touches us in many ways and we should respond accordingly by realizing that worship is obedient love in action."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126736995352576,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:32:46.501Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:43:14Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T01:39:13Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"16007497-ecfb-41df-9e3e-838476299fdd","accessControl_ssim":["6bac4ac9-828e-4ba6-b5b7-e012968ac56a"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Reformed parishes and responsiveness to the poor"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:43:14Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:46:11Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["195e2da7-7f9b-403d-96dd-cabbf053f6a2"],"hasLease_ssim":["7f557e50-e105-4fb3-9948-6b448a33cadb"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["James M Shopshire"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The aim of the project is twofold: 1) to discover, through a historical case study, a Reformed precedent for 'class networking', and 2) test such 'class networking' among some of today's Reformed laity in the Washington, D C area. Dr Thomas Chalmers and his nineteenth century class networking in urban Scotland is chosen as the Reformed precedent. Two groups of affluent laity (one experimental, one control) are selected at random from Reformed parishes to engage in a one-year test of the hypothesis. Results underscore the validity of the hypothesis. The experimental group becomes less prejudiced toward 'the poor' after the year of socializing and the control group shows no change or more prejudice after its year of non-involvement with 'the poor'."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799714981419155456,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:39:14.630Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:42:47Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T06:32:28Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"e3e72d15-3fc7-4f55-8ee0-abea48784c24","accessControl_ssim":["00711016-8799-47d6-a713-7b32d77aee46"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Claiming the Bible: feminist biblical interpretation and the local church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:42:46Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:38:59Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["60d76b2a-7021-4b7e-b05f-dfecbbb7e412"],"hasLease_ssim":["a4e42539-b766-4f86-83ef-9888622d91d6"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["John D Godsey"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. This project contributes to this task. In an adult study class in a local church the author uses feminist biblical hermeneutics to enable lay persons to discover and articulate their own hermeneutic. This process allows for the emergence of greater congruence between an inherited view of the Bible and a view which functions in accord with experience. This congruence hopefully will lead to greater understanding of the Bible and its wider use as a resource for faith today."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791126725176852480,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:32:35.230Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:42:47Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:45:16Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"76934220-1305-432d-8ec2-20bdd6c69eed","accessControl_ssim":["cfb9662a-e301-4391-aa35-5d35b2224e44"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The impact of the counseling relationship on self efficacy, self esteem and the sexual choice of early adolescents"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-11T23:42:47Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T01:37:00Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["397296a0-d89b-4b5f-96e5-c1cc0d5f6e61"],"hasLease_ssim":["8f46465a-4d27-4eb8-b00a-1d583fdd590b"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Christian Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Sue Webb Cardwell"],"year_tesim":["1988"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Jane Brown"],"publisher_tesim":["Christian Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Developmental psychology","Church and social problems","Erikson, Erik H. Although studies show that US girls are not more sexually active than girls from other nations, the American teenagers are more likely to become pregnant. This approach appears to lead girls to make healthier choices for themselves. The thesis is based on the work of one counselor in the county adolescent clinics of Indianapolis, Indiana.
