The study was limited to 69 women respondents who represent ten denominations.  Data was gathered through written questionnaires distributed by mail. Results indicate that the ordination and employment process is difficult for women.  74 percent report being hurt in their search for employment and ordination and 50 percent have run into discriminatory practices. The new 'United Methodist Hymnal: Book of United Methodist Worship' contains services or word and table that allow for the celebrant to create varieties in the prayer.  This project contains 26 eucharistic prayers based on the Common Lectionary rather than the season.  The project also examines the history of the prayer, Wesley's approach to the sacrament, and how the 1988 United Methodist liturgy developed. The second chapter puts the approaches and attitudes towards sheltering the homeless into a sociological framework. Chapter three presents data regarding the Tent City demonstration during which homeless people participated in June, 1985, on the Boston Common, which resulted in the program, Family House Project. Chapter four presents the data on Family House Project which set as its main principle the belief that the homeless people could and should have greater control over their lives. Finally, chapter five seeks to analyze Family House Project in terms of two themes: empowerment and community. After surveying the perceived spiritual formation needs of students in one seminary, four teaching/learning activities were designed and implemented.  Although the whole project was carried out within a period of only eight weeks, there was a favorable response to the learning experiences and some progress in the use of spiritual disciplines was revealed. Posttest results indicate the lessons had the desired results. An instrument of evaluation consisting of interviews with principals and questionnaires of students and alumni was prepared and administered. The findings were analyzed.  It was observed that since institutional integration was not possible, nor advisable, the best way to cooperate and share resources would be to suggest degree program integration. This would assist to integrate knowledge, experience, and practical skills in a balanced way. It observes that problems arise in both doctrine and practice since the polity of the Church of God is congregational and autonomous, and nonecclesiastical government a vital aspect of the Church of God heritage.
