Little is written of the hurt a pastor encounters as change agent and how to anticipate it, understand it, control it, and use it for further growth. The subject was approached from personal experience with the questionnnaire being the constant dialogue in a pastor's life; the test tube was the heart, the laboratory a life in the ministry. The thesis hopefully will bring encouragement, insight, and renewed commitment to those who suffer the inevitable hurts that come with church growth."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["31b95ee0-a31c-43dc-8ec9-d97b30239a2d"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791131280669147136,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:44:59.685Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:09:06Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:29:43Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"3e58f10f-db7e-4110-a990-17cf67dd262e","accessControl_ssim":["382234b1-d00b-49d3-85c3-649b4cb20278"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Not by bread alone: a study in the Christian discipline of fasting"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T00:09:05Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:56:23Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["02d4fb8f-03b7-41d8-b3c8-19629576071a"],"hasLease_ssim":["9d6e164d-9229-4775-bffa-9a1010467cf5"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Asbury Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["J Steven Harper"],"year_tesim":["1989"],"location_tesim":["Jamaica"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Charles W Quinley"],"keyword_tesim":["Theology, Wesleyan"],"publisher_tesim":["Asbury Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Spiritual formation","Theology","Fasting--Religious aspects--Christianity"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The project deals with Christian fasting using the Wesleyan quadralateral as an outline (scripture, tradition, reason, experience).
