A two-year survey of a newspaper's comics page was made to identify relevant material.  The selected comics are presented under wide-ranging topical headings with commentary and reflection.  This could be considered an illustrated collection of sermon illustrations. Lay care-givers (elders and deacons) attended a two-day workshop in which they were presented with a brief history and explanation of pastoral care and spirituality, and introduced to the concept of 'spiritually centered pastoral care' or spiritual direction by lay care-givers. Children afflicted with leprosy were alienated and had an especially hard time adjusting to society.  These children are physically normal but are social outcasts because of such problems as family background, living environment, educational situation, social restrictions, and psychological conflicts or anxieties.  The purpose of this project is to produce a unique educational program for children of leprosy victims in the Yosu Aeyangwon area in Korea. It discusses the colonial Anglican church's lack of a missionary bishop as one of the underlying causes of the Revolution.  The project also covers the Episcopal Church's inadequate Indian missions, even though the first missionary for Spokane was an Indian. The project applies the concept of hospitality to the development of a specialized older adult ministry.  The study examines the characteristics and needs of older adults and notes the biases held by society against the elderly.  By using insights from social marketing theory, hospitality was expressed by carrying out need assessment, program design, implementation, and evaluation for an older adult ministry in a particular congregation.
