This project aided the process of understanding, support, acceptance, and direction for remarried clergy couples. The vehicles employed to accomplish this task were a sermon series and an eight-week small group study.  The working hypothesis was that a more informed congregation should result in an attitude of greater acceptance of divorced persons in the congregation and in leadership roles.  The implementation of the project produced statistical data supporting the positive effectiveness of the project. The goal was to reach into homes previously unreached by the church. Research was conducted through a pretest mail survey and a posttest phone survey.  The survey instruments sought to discover awareness of ACTS and audience interest in possible television programs. A statement of mission purpose was adopted.  Changes in theological conceptions of the congregation were measured.  Perceptions of need by the church and community were analyzed. Research indicates four definite areas of need: a family support group, recreational activities, staff support, and pastoral care presence.
