To determine the needs of the organization's students and prepare them for ministry, a questionnaire was designed and used as the principle source of research.  The project succeeded in determining the needs of the students in the organization. These include: the influences of home and society, the work of Jean Piaget and Erik Erikson, and the faith development studies of James Fowler, Temp Sparkman, and John Westerhoff. An emphasis on the inclusion of all believers as ministers was stressed in order to help the reader see the deaf as more than objects of ministry.  A result of this emphasis was the focus that considered deaf people as part of an ethnic cultural group. The literary research combined questionnaires and interviews with both hearing and deaf people. The factors of location, privacy, pastoral counselor, cost and referral are rated by their importance in the client's decision to seek counseling at this center.  The responses of church members, unchurched persons, church leaders and non-leaders are compared and contrasted. The research involved measuring three goals within families: time spent, frequency of faith activity, and attitudes regarding the spiritual condition of the home.  Following a six-week focus of preaching and teaching concerning domestic faith ritual usage, the ministry resulted in a positive increase in all goal areas.  Each of seven participating families demonstrated positive improvement in at least one of the three goals. Questionnaires and interviews were used to determine the needs of church visitors, the effectiveness of ministries to these guests, and the influence upon church leaders participating in the exercise. The research method employed grounded theory, which is based on observation and moves from specific incident to general principle.  Exegetical study of Genesis 2:18-25 and Ephesians 5:21-33 concluded that God's intent for marriage was an intimate mutual community. An object relations theory study of marriage revealed that the primary human need to be loved and validated motivates marital interaction. The project led the deacons to discover their style for managing conflict, identified the types of conflict, examined the nature of church conflict, and presented various strategies which are effective for resolving church conflict.  The theological rationale for conflict ministry included three biblical case studies of conflict, the ministry of the diaconate, and a theology and practice of conflict management.
