Each message was discussed and suggestions were given on how it could be applied in practical ministry. A survey of questions relating to the issue of interpretation was administered to participants before the course began.  After the study the survey was repeated and the results compared. Mail surveys were sent to 200 Presbyterian Church in America clergymen (and wives), with 275 of the 400 returned.  Seven hypotheses were tested.  Sufficient variance of depressive tendencies with the public was not indicated, nor variance between clergy and wives. Correlation was not sufficiently associated with size of congregation, ministerial position, nor age.  Correlation was significantly correlated to overall health and a network of supporting friends. The work of Robert Bly, the masculine archetypes of Robert Moore and the spirituality/sexuality of James Nelson are addressed.  Two stories enjoying currency for their illustrating landmarks to mature masculinity are included.  Case studies are from the author's pastoral psychotherapeutic practice. A survey tool was used to measure the attitudes of persons in five different congregations in western Perry County, Pennsylvania.  The congregations which were studied were United Church of Christ (2), United Methodist, Presbyterian, and Lutheran.  The study also evaluated the data by age and gender indicators.  The overall study indicated a significant ecumenical openness in worship, fellowship, witness, and mission. Students have needs that can be met by the BSU director (campus minister) being involved on campus by teaching a class.  An orientation class was taught using ideas observed and researched by the director.  Class time consisted of lectures, guest speakers, questionnaires, class participation, games and a video. The result was that needs of the college students were discovered.
