The result is a training manual that first outlines the overall principles in counseling Chinese. The author then proceeds to take a fresh look at what the Scripture says about evangelism and church growth.  He then attempts to apply these qualities in the Philippine cultural context. One cause is a lack of proper focus on the doctrine of heaven.  Using before and after testing of a class taught using a nine-lesson curriculum based on a lay-oriented book on this doctrine, the study concludes that this book and curriculum were effective in positively influencing the understanding of and attitude toward heaven in the test group.  Such an improvement led to better motivation toward personal godliness and witness in almost all students. Phenomenological and qualitative research methodology formed the framework of study, guided by perspectives of grounded research and symbolic interactionism.  Results identify principles for the development of this intergenerational group. Thus after exploring the Apostle Paul's model of worldview analysis and confrontation as recorded in Acts 17:16-34, the thesis examines the New Age movement and the factors leading people to embrace this worldview.  Then, following Paul's approach in Acts 17:16-34, the thesis applies a similar model of worldview confrontation to the New Age movement.
