By bringing their complementary disciplines and agendas together, the work of both is improved, to the glory of God."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133900081201152,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:26:37.752Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:20:00Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:26:55Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d79c7b2c-9dbc-4e94-968b-a7a8fb029044","accessControl_ssim":["7131d453-fcc4-4725-870d-c6b1952628af"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Your church, your conflict: the diagnosis and prescription for conflict in a local parish"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:19:59Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:17:58Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["7d1f651c-96b0-4f4c-9aef-c6ac22214477"],"hasLease_ssim":["49906f7c-f1bd-4cb2-928c-7552c3f89f3b"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert L Conrad"],"year_tesim":["1995"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Neal A Orabka"],"keyword_tesim":["Congregations--Internal conflict"],"publisher_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["When congregational conflict arises, it is the laity who have the most at stake and yet who are the least informed. The most significant conclusion of this work is that a sermon preparation worksheet can be designed and used to help a male preacher be sensitive to women's issues and to preach inclusively. The author learned that from a women's perspective, relationships are key to preaching and to ministry. By being sensitive to women's issues in preaching, one is enabled to be faithful to the message and ministry of Jesus Christ. Another important conclusion of this study is that when one focuses on women's issues in preaching one also speaks to males in the congregation."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133982969036800,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:27:56.800Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:20:00Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T08:27:48Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"de365187-cf6f-4b0a-a98a-f73563fabb4d","accessControl_ssim":["af9d8567-ba1b-4de0-900b-c8042095dc15"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Teach the children well: empowering lay teachers for the church's educational task"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T04:19:59Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:29:47Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["051b5a3c-3ab9-4794-91d6-3b87d6f75bdd"],"hasLease_ssim":["6974fe43-4d12-4251-b8f2-8427558f1d21"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"advisor_tesim":["Robert L Conrad"],"year_tesim":["1995"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Gary M Rose"],"publisher_tesim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"subject_tesim":["Church work","Sunday school teachers"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["In many congregations, there is a problem securing teachers for Sunday school, mid-week and vacation Bible school programs. Much of this fear seems to arise from a feeling by lay members that they are inadequate to teach what they and the church believe. This paper explores this situation, and tries to provide some answers to empower these reluctant potential teachers. It also presents a program for training laity in the context, purpose and content of Christian religious education. The processes of emotional, cognitive, moral and faith development in individuals are explored. Several teaching and learning strategies are presented to enhance the effectiveness of teachers in a congregational setting. The importance of continuing teacher training events is emphasized. The conclusion of the paper is that the better informed and trained a teacher is, the more effective and happier they are as well."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["d722638c-a7e2-43f3-93ff-4762bde0dde7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791133979459452928,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:27:53.453Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":433,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
