The project presents a holistic model that is inclusive of the entire faith community, supported by historical, theological, and educational research. A confirmation inventory examines how this proposal would be received within church congregations. Evaluation demonstrates a strong desire to reform confirmation to include repeatable baptismal affirmation opportunities at every age. The usual Korean church may have 10 to 12 worship services in one week.  This project proposes to explain what spiritual worship is and how it can be improved in order to renew Korean Methodist congregations.  The project also explores how Christians can establish a worshipful daily life. This project interviews more than 100 pastors and elderly persons, pointing to urgent needs for ministry, and it also analyzes typical examples of ministry in New York and New Jersey. For several years evangelism as verbal proclamation has dominated the mission effort of the KMC.  Such a focus results in numeric growth, but issues of spiritual maturity and responsible social witness have been neglected.  To be faithful to the biblical mandate, the KMC needs to find balance between verbal proclamation and social witness as taught in the Bible. Using a series of sermons combined with a group process of theological reflection, a pastor and members of the congregation envisioned and created a plan that articulates the changes and suggests specific ways for the congregation to address them. The model drew on Letty Russell's work in partnership and on proleptic strategic planning. Both models called for identifying vision before planning steps to get there.  As expected, partnership developed among the planners working toward a common interest. Serendipity, synergy and sharing characterized the budding partnership.  Beyond the original model, leadership that assured participation by all was important.  Clear lines of accountability, communication, and decision-making when planners reached the limits of institutional possibilities were also crucial.
