Promise Keepers aids local churches in many ways, by building up Christian men in regional conferences conducted in football stadiums, by providing support for pastors and ministry leaders through its Ambassador and Key Man networks, and by encouraging pastors and churches to serve their communities. The project finds that patients who attend more classes and a higher percentage of classes improve their Spiritual Assessment Scores (SAS), but a higher SAS does not lead to a shorter length of stay (LOS). Those who exhibit the greatest improvement in SAS do have a shorter LOS, primarily because they attend classes consistently.
