Participants responded spiritually in four representative types: confirmation, affirmation with change, radical newness, and radical disorder. Theological reflection increased emotional resolution and spiritual growth in bereavement. Those engaging the pain and confusion of spiritual transformation asserted new meaning, perspective, and strength as a result of grief. This qualitative case study demonstrated thematic dconsistency in the way young adult women bereaved during college years engage or do not engage questions of God's character, justice and their own identities during bereavement. Popular church growth plans often are not applicable or conducive to such a setting and often have cataclysmic results for the church and pastor. This plan is adapted and curtailed to meet the needs of the subculture of the church while being faithful to its evangelical heritage. The step-by-step plan is given with the results, positive and negative. The result is that new believers are thrust into the church without a good foundation or they become uninterested in church.  The purpose of this project is to use storying with new believers and seekers.  This project utilizes storying for the teaching of biblical knowledge.  Storying is used among international missionaries attempting to reach people who communicate in an oral tradition. Yet those in visual and written cultures often become uninterested in the gospel when it is taken out of it's narrative context.  The writer measures the students' knowledge of the stories chosen for the project.  The writer then tells a Bible story each week during the project.  The writer allows the students to answer questions, ask questions, and react to the story in small groups.
