The central question was, 'How does one recapture the punch of the parables in a modern setting, when the points of references are unfamiliar to today's audiences?' The project focussed on the reactions and evaluation of a select group of people from the congregation who heard two different methods of preaching on select parables. An explanation and understanding of the 'bow tie' theory of church growth and the development of a five-year growth strategy will also be presented. The project leader will lead an eight-week training period with the adult Sunday School teachers after the evening worship service. Each session will last approximately one hour. The sessions will seek to expand the teacher's knowledge of the importance of Sunday School as well as seek to improve the organization of the Sunday School program at Chapel Grove Baptist Church. This project, upon completion, will provide the Sunday School ministry at Chapel Grove Baptist Church a strong foundation upon which to build for the future. This model will assist Chinese clergywomen overcoming resistance by mutual support. Through biblical, historical, social, and theological reflections, the study reaffirms women's leadership and their cross-cultural ministry. Through case studies, the researcher compared four Chinese clergywomen's situations with two other ethnic minority clergywomen's groups. The theological basis of this project is John Wesley, Pui-lan Kwok and other Chinese feminist theologians. A survey was conducted on the acceptance of Chinese clergywomen. In conclusion, the researcher suggested ways to promote inclusiveness."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5a6e4a36-5801-4bff-8e61-86d7489efb4a"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799716947877691392,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T02:10:29.992Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T07:10:05Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:05:12Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"d5d229a0-6f1b-4329-8d7c-3d77e1fea325","accessControl_ssim":["c884fe96-29bb-4c25-9e5d-dafdc5d07868"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Labor unions as a context for ministry: a workshop for Master of Divinity students"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T07:10:04Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T04:14:40Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["6b3c2fc8-1452-492c-b1c7-8c5b212cfc45"],"hasLease_ssim":["825b7939-83a8-4bc2-a0bd-3aa339ef1fb3"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Doctor of Ministry"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Wesley Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["David Hopkins"],"year_tesim":["2002"],"resource_type_tesim":["D.Min. The material utilized will seek to develop those skills needed to build an effective Men's Ministry. The focus of the project will be four key areas which the first century church utilized to become mature disciples of Jesus Christ. While doing so, they impacted the world and laid the foundation for carrying out the Great Commission (see Matt. 28:19-20). The four key areas are: prayer, empowerment, encouragement, and evangelism. The project leader will conduct five two-hour sessions with his core group of twenty men divided into five accountability groups of four. The first ten minutes will be devoted to prayer requests and small group prayer followed by forty-five minutes of teaching and dialogue (see appendices). A ten-minute break for refreshments will follow the first hour, and the second hour will conclude with ten minutes of reflection and interaction to the material discussed. This project is to be utilized as an introductory curriculum which the project leader hopes will lay the foundation for building a strong, cohesive group which will be accountable to God and to one another."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132341640364032,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:01:51.507Z","score":1.0}],"facets":[{"name":"resource_type_sim","items":[{"value":"Unknown","hits":429,"label":"Unknown"},{"value":"D.Min.
