It analyzes ways in which the postmodern worldview is reflected in the religious and cultural value system of Latino celebrities and writers, as well as in the lives of high school students in Miami, Florida. A questionnaire of one hundred twenty-four students and a personal interview with seven Hispanic students reveal an emerging postmodern worldview among Hispanic teenagers both in and outside of the church. Its content includes the Bible's use of music in worship, celebration, and teaching. Both Moses and the Apostle Paul commanded that music be used in teaching doctrinal truth because of music's affect on the human mind, emotions, and memory. Scientific research cited verifies that the mind naturally responds to music, and the chemical response affects the memory center in the brain causing content to be memorized. The author examines the major cultural and philosophical themes of postmodernism through the lens of popular music. Two common evangelical responses to postmodernism are appraised. A defense of evangelism is offered, based on Christian realism and the ontologically unique claims of Christ. Lesslie Newbigin's model of contextually-appropriate mission, as the encounter between Gospel, culture and church, is commended as an alternative to non-foundational pluralism. It provides a safe place in which conversations can occur about any issue.  The author uses qualitative research methodology in a way that the participants design and implement the Peaceforming process.  The contexts include rural and urban congregations, a symposium of professional counselors, and six at-risk congregations seeking shared ministry. The author concludes that Peaceforming enables systemic and individual changes. The methodology included Pre/Post Tests of Spiritual Values, Pre/Post Achievement Tests, and consultations with students, parents, and teachers.  The results of the project showed that students' behavior skills increased and academic improvements were made. It is vital that every Presbyterian minister re-examine his role as the primary leader in worship as it is an important part of his calling.
