The thesis begins with an analysis of the need for new missionaries in the C\u0026MA while also showing how the denomination has addressed the issue. The second and third chapters provide a biblical-theological framework of missions and missionary recruitment along with a broad understanding of millennials and their postmodern context. Finally, a strategy for recruiting missionaries from among the millennials in the US Christian \u0026 Missionary Alliance is offered, providing helpful suggestions for local congregations to implement, as well as steps of action for the C\u0026MA to take at the national and district levels. The research examines the difference between accommodation and adaptation, analyzes the extent to which the preacher proclaims the word of God and/or persuades the congregation to respond to the word, and explores the rhetorical strategies of identification and argumentation. The project describes interviews with ten preachers to identify ways they prepare and deliver the sermon in multiple settings from the same text. The object of the project was to meet the course objectives being achieved in face-to-face instruction. The course was taught in the fall of 2001. Student achievement of the objectives was measured through course assignments, as well as a pre- and post-test of student confidence and competence for youth ministry. Students in the online version of the course achieved the course objectives but exhibited a higher non-completion rate. Culture change can occur over time with theological focus, personal security, and the application of frames thinking. Leaders learned the proposed model of culture change and chose to implement it in their groups. Students were surveyed before and after the project to measure changes in the group's culture. Components of the project included:  exploring the demographics of the region to determine which people groups are unreached and unengaged, reviewing existing strategies of International Mission Board-related work in the region, developing a decision tree process to assign specific strategy types for engaging the unreached peoples, developing a plan to begin the initial engagement of the unengaged unreached people groups in the region, and presenting the plan to the regional leadership team for their review and consideration. This project will include: 1) research into the concept of the Spirit-filled life from a biblical, historical, and contemporary context; 2) development of curriculum for a forty-day discipleship training course on living the Spirit-filled life, and 3) equipping members of Turning Point Baptist Church to live a Spirit-filled life.  The curriculum includes lesson plans and an interactive student devotional.  The devotional contains forty chapters which are designed to be read in consecutive days.  Numerous individuals, including experts in the field of the Holy Spirit, critiqued and commented about the curriculum before church members were equipped. The focus of this ministry was pastoral care rather than the placement of blame. They also modeled prayer group sessions, which they personally lead, following participation in the workshop.  The workshop format utilized eight hours of training including and introductory session, six training sessions, and a final session addressing administration and the enlistment of participants.
