A new liturgical season, with elements of worship, music, art, education and special events, was instituted from Feast Day of St. Francis (October 4) until Advent with the theme of God's inclusive care for all. Creation season provides a sense of how ecology can serve as a guiding motif and broad context for dealing with postmodern issues. The effect on the congregation's spiritual life and sense of mission is positive."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129427922386944,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:15:32.768Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:45:10Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-05-22T03:15:41Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"a8d220ba-4def-4d04-9e5f-f11a8ddb4051","accessControl_ssim":["848acedc-9937-4598-928d-2d3a7cfc6226"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Equipping a select group of students from the Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to develop a vision to carry out God's call"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:45:09Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T03:01:24Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["e3756433-641a-40c0-b299-0d694f13ecac"],"hasLease_ssim":["bca52856-0ee8-4b17-a818-ef61aca3f9c2"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Allen Jackson"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Scott D Hall"],"keyword_tesim":["Religious surveys"],"publisher_tesim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Clergy--Appointment, call, and election","Christian education","Temple Baptist Church (Hattiesburg, Miss)"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project was to equip a select group of students (senior high through college who had experienced a call to Christian ministry) from the temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to develop a vision to carry out God's call. The objective was to design a philosophy of funeral ritual relevant to postmodern people using narrative and life-situational preaching. The project question: 'In order to help heal the heartache of bereavement, how does the minister provide the transformative power of positive preaching in 21st-century funeral and memorial rituals?' Methodology, conformed to a qualitative standard, included intentional observation of funerals, interviews, a review of personal historic funerary documents, and a questionnaire. A new model of funeral ritual and preaching was created. Evaluation occurred through critical self-reflection and validation meetings."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["United Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["f0f9c284-37b6-440c-96ab-39e6509e82ee"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791129236264714240,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:12:29.990Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:43:05Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:10:52Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"9b9b7bbe-106f-4e12-b445-b6990fadc458","accessControl_ssim":["a9d04ab6-b180-4dc0-aad4-1b6f1fd31bbf"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Incarnational evangelism for the local church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T10:43:04Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:40:58Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["74336371-c150-4dfb-b275-495a3259f1dd"],"hasLease_ssim":["9ab7a668-e4d4-43f1-aec0-f5b0951579a7"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["United Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Kwame Abayomi"],"year_tesim":["2004"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["John Wesley Williams"],"publisher_tesim":["United Theological Seminary (Dayton, OH)"],"subject_tesim":["Evangelistic work","Church growth","African Methodist Episcopal Church"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["This project is a model for Hurst Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church to accomplish evangelism in this millennium.
