The project sought to answer the question whether intentional instruction from scripture over a nine-week period would increase per capita spending toward the local church with corresponding changes in attitudes toward giving. The method of instruction was to administer a pre-course evaluation followed by nine weeks of instruction, followed by a post-course evaluation. Preaching the unique truths of the seventh-Day Adventist message in Great Britain continues to prove demanding. This thesis suggests and implements a seeker service approach to worship in order to preach the Adventist message in a manner which can be appreciated by the postmodern person living in London. The statistical analysis showed that such a change took place.  The program was created to be implemented over a six-week period.  Thirty-five people attended one of three classroom presentations offered.  A pre-test and post-test format was used to measure raised awareness and motivation. This project attempts to shift that emphasis by drawing on indigenous Hawaiian spirituality, Buddhism, and Christianity to construct a worship experience that is both spiritually and culturally relevant to the local people of Hawai'i. Process-relational theology serves as the foundation or basis under-girding the worship experience. The methodology used combines Participatory Action Research (PAR) method and praxis-reflection. The training model consisted of eight sessions of one hour to one and one-half hours in length.  The first five sessions were part of a one-day retreat.  The three remaining sessions were conducted in single sessions over the next two months.  The sessions focused on the scriptural basis of deacon ministry, the role of deacon as minister, the use of spiritual gifts in deacon ministry, and the formulation of deacon ministry teams.  The project goals were to research the skills needed to minister using deacon ministry skills, to develop a program for equipping deacons to minister using deacon ministry teams, and to equip the deacons to minister using deacon ministry teams. It will seek to provide an efficient model for the strategic integration of discipleship ministries by merging the existing Sunday School ministry with a new home fellowship ministry at Southside Baptist Church of Port Neches, Texas. Focusing upon the importance of the biblical concept of 'koinonia,' the project will seek to create a positive atmosphere for the successful development of disciples in this congregation. Recognizing the importance of encouraging inactive members to comprehend their calling to become active disciples, the project will attempt to provide a model where such members are integrated into a setting that will promote their spiritual development. The project will focus on the Scriptural definition and purpose of 'koinonia' and propose strategic ways to develop such fellowship in the context of Sunday School. Encumbrances and obstacles that hinder a successful integration of both Sunday School and home cell groups will be addressed openly. As far as can be ascertained, such a model for revitalizing Sunday School through the use of home cell groups has not been offered.
