It focuses on an eight-week life review class for older adults which was held at Hillwood Presbyterian Church in Nashville, TN. The research discloses that such a class is highly beneficial and should be encouraged in ministry with and to the older adults of a commonly referred to in current literature as a forced exit, involuntary resignation, or termination upon a select group of pastors within the Evangelical Presbyterian Church--but in situations other than moral failure. The study attempted to discover the impact or effects of such an experience--solely from the vantage point or perspective of the pastor. As such this study was intended to be an impact study and the research methodology qualitative in nature. Together, the quantitative and qualitative aspects of this study revealed that Concordia is a strong academic institution that effectively imparts theological knowledge that is foundational for pastoral ministry, and that it successfully teaches its students to think theologically. This necessitates the intervention of pastoral care. This project focuses on one inner-city school, and the need some of its students and members of staff have for pastoral care. The Christian Church, and the role that pastoral care plays in its ministry are explored, and ten cases discovered to be in need of pastoral care intervention are highlighted. Colonialism and worldwide enslavement of Afrikans has contributed to the systemic destruction of Afrikan history, culture, and religious traditions. Interviews were conducted with members of the Village Church in Nashville, Tennessee to access the impact of Eurocentric interpretations of the Christian faith in the development of their faith. This project offers qualitative analyses of sermons preached by five experienced preachers in wealthy congregations in North Carolina.  Analyses will also be drawn from a review of conversations with the preachers about money, wealth, and justice.  The results of this study are shared and compared with relevant critical, New Testament, and homiletical scholarship. When all three of these components become daily repeated experiences the believers are assimilated. This project has four main components. First, a biblical study intended to determine the biblical assimilation principles that effectually work in believers' lives. Second, a literature study to discover the theological factors that affect the assimilation process of believers into the functioning body. Third, two case studies of American leading churches through survey questionnaires and onsite interviews and observation. Fourth, the results of the studies are the functional factors in formulating the assimilation principles for the Chinese Bible Church of Jakarta, Indonesia. From the assimilation and church growth literature review and the biblical study ten significant assimilation principles were selected for this study. Each principle was present in the first century church (Acts 2:42-47) and in the life of Christ.
