The project director researched worship planning and theology and wrote a seven week curriculum designed to teach about biblical worship and worship planning.  He taught it to nine people.  Effectiveness was measured using pre-tests, post-tests, class evaluations, worship service evaluations by an outside expert, focus groups, journal, and a follow-up interview. This project led students to develop an understanding of a theology of the cross along with its practical implications for their personal lives and for their own ministry opportunities. Since theology is itself a dialogical discipline, a small group of students was enlisted to study together a theology of the cross as well as how they could apply a cruciform theology throughout the Baptist Student Ministry. This project lasted for one semester and attempted to include all of the students that were involved in the Baptist Student Ministry Program. The majority of the work, however, was completed by a smaller, select group of students. A larger group of students were asked to evaluate the testimonies, devotional materials, and sermons prepared by the select group. The project consisted of a focus group of thirteen pastors participating in a workshop forum. A quantitative research design was used with pre and post-tests. The hypothesis addresses the problem of a lack of an available systematic servant leadership-training model, which could better equip laity and incumbent deacons in carrying out the duties of the office of deacon more effectively.  A qualitative action research methodology consisting of pre and posttest questionnaire was used to measure understanding and attitude changes based on completion of the instructional training modules. The findings enabled the researcher to create a profile of the observed community. The project goal is renewed zeal in church leaders to be involved in ministry. Project activities attempt to change attitudes and behaviors in the deacon body. Deacons will participate in joint ministry with a growing church in a similar ministry context. Deacons will assess the church's present ministry in a one-day retreat. Deacons' attitudes will be challenged through a survey of unchurched nonbelievers in the community. Deacons will examine biblical ministry mandates in a ten-week seminar. In the final two meetings, deacons will formulate plans for involving other church members in ministry, reflecting their changed attitudes and behavior in ministry. The project involved interviewing twenty people.  Fourteen interviews of de-churched or previously de-churched people were done by the author.  A focus group of six then met to be interviewed and to help with a sermon series.  The author found that de-churched people are like others who are longing for preaching that is relevant and relates the Bible to life. The hypothesis was that through training, education and Christian principles, the members of Corinthian can  develop their families, financial empowerment.  This project consisted of a series of financial seminars.  The research design was pretest and posttest, using ten identical questions on each test.
