Sarah Pierrepont Edwards is seens as extroverted, sensing, feeling, and judging type. Gilbert Tennent fell in the category of extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and perceiving type. This study explores aspects of Caribbean immigrant identity and Caribbean Christian thinking. Using exegesis of Peter's first letter, written to persons he describes as 'aliens' and 'strangers,' and using interviews and questionnaires, the study seeks to develop a perspective for preachers who will minister to 'diasporic Caribbean Christians.' Its aim is to help Jordanian Christian couples who have marital conflicts, because of the intervention of the husband's family of origin (especially his mother), to reach a better marital life. In Jordanian culture, parents demand their son's obedience and expect that their daughterinlaw will serve them. These two issues create conflicts among marital couples and affect their marital life negatively. Throughout therapy couples can change their negative beliefs into positive ones and understand the biblical truth concerning their marriages without hurting cultural truth. This thesis examines the Apostle Paul's Christ-centered ministry practice when handling controversies and conflicts within the Corinthian church in Second Corinthians as a useful biblical leadership paradigm for recovery ministry in a wounded congregation. Included in this thesis is a summary of recent research on the common challenges and experiences of pastors who minister in wounded congregations and a series of interviews with select people who have experience and/or expertise in various facets of ministry to wounded congregations. A qualitative method of research was employed to determine the most effective type of leadership needed for homeless ministries. Fifty leaders from fourteen shelters in five states were surveyed. Interviews with the executive directors of these shelters were also conducted. After carefully defining a theology of expository preaching, this project utilized the gifts and abilities of seven evangelical pastors to each preach twice, and then critically evaluate and comment on the messages of the other six, over a six month time frame. It was primarily accomplished over the internet.
