This project attempts to help Evangelical Baptist Missions (EBM) to begin addressing the challenges that church mission leaders face. Five church missions teams were used to gather data to identify the greatest challenges churches face in missions ministry. These challenges include developing accountability with missionaries, mobilizing and involving the congregation, developing a strategic, proactive approach to missions, qualifying and developing potential missionaries and encouraging financial support. The challenges and data from the church group meetings were shared with the EBM leadership to produce and initiative that will respond with help for churches."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Trinity Evangelical Divinity School"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["c654e922-76d0-4427-ac29-e286b7997781"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["public","work_editor"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1799715422676713472,"timestamp":"2024-05-22T01:46:15.447Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:42:53Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:32:35Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"34d35275-0494-4780-aed5-f3055f76a6af","accessControl_ssim":["189a5a28-d53a-4e85-9149-0106748134d1"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The impact of the practice of the spiritual disciplines on the self-image of adult male substance abusers in treatment"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T11:42:52Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T23:39:37Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["cbd61125-a263-4e3c-b514-3549b6a1fa98"],"hasLease_ssim":["a65ef23b-2812-4565-b97c-e9082f4de6ba"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Ashland Theological Seminary"],"year_tesim":["2007"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Ruby J Bowens"],"publisher_tesim":["Ashland Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Self-control","Devotional exercises","Substance abuse","Church work with men","Self-perception"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this paper was to impact the self-image of adult male substance abusers in treatment through the practice of the spiritual disciplines of prayer, meditation, fasting, and worship.
