The biblical and historical basis for peace and reconciliation was developed. An integrated conflict transformation model was created and submitted to ten significant Christian and Muslim leaders for evaluation. Research was conducted regarding the psychological development of teenagers and how their development relates to interpersonal relationship skills. Current research in books, journals, and online resources were used for further study of interpersonal relationship skills. Several high school counselors were interviewed to find out how these skills impact students in schools. Goals included: (1) enhancing church leadership and ministries; (2) improving the image of the church in the community; (3) replicating leaders throughout the body; (4) repairing damage from discord and abating internal conflict that has stifled the church's progress over the years. Consulting numerous print and electronic journals, ongoing leadership training programs and pastors, the project director designed a biblically-based teaching module that addresses spirituality, leadership skills training, gifts analysis with service opportunity, and conflict resolution. Another important element is evaluation of the trainees, director, and overall program effectiveness. A qualitative methodology emphasizing a grounded theory approach was used. It documents the experiences of seventy-eight men and women, clergy and lay, who served in senior leadership roles in mid-level judicatories, congregations, and seminaries representing nineteen denominations. Roman Catholic priests and parishioners participated in this case study. The researcher provided a one-day workshop on Lectio Divina and preaching preparation for the priests. He utilized focus groups for gathering qualitative data from both priests and parishioners.
