The project required research, writing, and developing an eight-hour interactive seminar for six local churches of varied denominations as well as personnel from the Northwest Baptist Convention. Although evangelicals have serious doctrinal differences with the Catholic Church, this does not rule out cooperation. The course seemed to slightly increase knowledge of the Catholic Church and confidence in sharing the gospel with Catholics. The study tries to ascertain whether experiences on these two different labyrinths are equal in quality. Is a walk on a contemporary labyrinth commensurate with a walk on an archetypal labyrinth as a path to inner reflection, healing, transformation, and contemplation of God? The study is not conclusive, but it does illustrate the fact that each individual labyrinth walk as with each individual's path is different. This program utilized the resources of leadership theory, organizational and congregational development, theological reflection, and worship. The big story can be obscured by over emphasizing the moral lessons to be learned on the Old Testament narratives as well as by wrongly reading Jesus into passages in ways that are not fair. Instead, this project develops sermons for the fall semester of 2006 that attempted to demonstrate the Christological center of the Bible and it was informed by academic research. The project was conducted in March of 2007. The parents were provided syllabi and participated in three teaching sessions, enjoyed a catered lunch, and concluded the workshop with an extended time for questions and answers. Follow-up support groups met for the three consecutive Sunday evenings.  The seminar addressed cognitive, skill-development, and affective issues centered on the issues of childrearing. Participants described the content, mode and personnel involved in their training, and gave suggestions for improvements, most rating it adequate for what they encountered, and indicating increased interest in long-term service. Jesus' model of servant leadership is perfect and relevant for every congregation and its various organizations. This model of leadership ensures growth and health in the life of the church. Leadership is the key to the internal life of the congregation, as well as to its relationship with the outer world and fruitfulness in that world. The author designed a leadership training course consisting of eight sessions, in which the participants studied leadership models from the Old Testament and the New Testament. The eight lessons were biblically based, but they were also enhanced by leadership and congregational studies from such professional scholars as Edwin H Friedman, Peter L Steinke, and Diana Butler Bass. Each of the sessions included lecture, discussion, evaluation, and personal and group assessments. The project's methodology includes three goals: (1) to gain insight through a sampling survey; (2) to generate a set of aims for balancing content and application; (3) to preach twelve messages from Ephesians that model a balanced approach and to have six of those messages evaluated by church members.
