This small three-year-old church plant has seen incredible growth, approaching six hundred active worshippers coming from the entire Northwest Arkansas region. Located in a region with large university institutions, Crosspointe wanted to develop a practical and sustainable collegiate ministry to reach college-age students for Christ. This ministry project is divided into four main sections. The first section details the current spiritual crisis on America's university campuses. Through direct demographic data, this project also demonstrates that same spiritual crisis exists in Northwest Arkansas. The second section examines the effective academic process of strategic planning for organizations. The third section explores current collegiate ministry strategies which are effectively reaching college students in local church settings. The section also provides a detailed review of applicable texts which relate to crating age-group ministry strategies. Of these two, the office of elder is the one principally charged with the leadership of local churches.  The identification and selection of said elders is a key challenge that this project seeks to address and facilitate.  The project execution saw the creation and implementation of a workshop in two congregations focused upon the biblical standard of an elder's qualifications, roles and tasks. This preaching series consisted of twelve sermons preached from February to May 2009.  The project began with a statement of need for a God-exalting series on the attributes of God.  Chapter 2 established the biblical and theological basis for the preaching series.  My purpose was not to expound every attribute of God in Scripture but to focus on several key attributes which are controversial: God's wrath and the doctrine of Hell, his sovereignty over all things, his knowledge of all things, and his immutability.  In chapter 3, I described five goals of this preaching series. In chapter 4, I concluded with an evaluation, combining qualitative and quantitative research methods, gleaned from congregation and focus group before, during, and after the twelve-week preaching series.  The feedback received proved invaluable in my understanding as a shepherd and pastor.  The findings were very encouraging.  The congregation grew in their understanding of God's character revealed in Scripture. In keeping with the equipping program model, the project began with the project director's research in the field of team leadership. The research focused upon ways in which personality type and spiritual giftedness may be understood and applied in the context of church staff leadership. Upon completion of this research, the project director developed curriculum based upon findings from the research. The report began with a survey of psychological, sociological, and theological insights into male depression.  The support group consisted of eight weekly sessions with homework assignments drawn from CR material, Hart's book, and daily devotionals. The key conclusion of the project was that depressed Christian men can be aided significantly through an integrated, Bible-based support group. The idea of a 'self-theologizing' church is biblically grounded, yet it is still an unfamiliar practice for evangelicals.  This project involved restructuring an undergraduate mission theology course to familiarize students with the need for theological contextualization, to give the experience in facilitating a 'hermeneutical community,' and to guide them in devising a personal theology of mission. Sonrise was planted in 2003 and is located in the western section of Mobile County. This area of Mobile is growing rapidly with a variety of homes ranging from starter homes from young families to high end custom-built homes for the more affluent. With all of this growth in the community, Sonrise is experiencing steady growth. In spite of the present growth, the project director sees a need to establish a systematic plan to maintain healthy church growth through prayer, evangelism, and discipleship. The project director will evaluate community data, do research in historical and contemporary church growth, and do research in the current organizational structure of Sonrise. The literature search examined biblical, theological, and historical foundations.  The field research was conducted using a basic questionnaire with twenty questions to conduct open-ended, guided interviews.  The sample consisted of key Pentecostal leaders from the Assemblies of God and key non-Pentecostal evangelical leaders serving in strategic positions with ministry experience of over twenty-five years.  The literature search revealed that theologians and practitioners of church history who overemphasized either the Word or the Spirit fell into error, portrayed a lack of balance, and caused division in the church.  The field research revealed that despite the differences in theologies and labels, the work of the Spirit was pretty similar. By distinguishing too sharply between the Word and the Spirit, the church has lost an important biblical perspective and fractured the Body of Christ.
