The project director had three goals. First, the project director researched applicable material on personal evangelism. Particular attention was given to principles, problems, and the presentation of the personal evangelism encounter. Second, the project director developed curriculum to teach a series of lessons on personal evangelism. Six lessons were developed and administered over a three-week period. The lessons equipped deacons to engage in personal evangelism. Third the project director's presentation and content of lessons were evaluated at the conclusion of the project. The project director began this equipping process by researching the different models use din assimilation. He used this knowledge to develop a workshop which included lessons outlining a specific assimilation process to be used by the New Members Committee to assimilate new adult members. This New Members Committee was divided into four teams: Contact, Concerns, Connect, and Commitment. Six workshop lessons, taught by the project director, equipped committee members to define assimilation, explain how assimilation occurs, identify obstacles to assimilation, and comprehend how spiritual growth is essential to the assimilation process. The author researched the competency of the church in ten core areas related to discipleship in the home.  A ten-week course was executed that taught parents their scriptural responsibility to disciple their children, equipped them with appropriate skills, and helped them develop confidence to accomplish the task. As the result of this research, on adult study course on prayer for Korean American church lay people is design, implemented and evaluated. The D/P is arranged in three Parts. In part one, Wesley's historical and theological background together with his spirituality was dealt with his practice of prayer and finally his activities in the U.S.A. In part two, I examined Korean spirituality which was influenced very much by Shamanism and Mysticism. I illustrated two pastors' stories which impressed me very much. In part three, a questionnaire was designed to know what the Korean scholars and pastors thought about Wesleyan prayer and their prayer practice. Many of the congregrants were not motivated to change behavior. The project director contends that lives will be changed when the hearers understand what biblical preaching is, what to look for in the text, and when they adopt the attitude and action of the text. This project identifies ways to motivate the hearer to adopt the action and attitude of the text utilizing standard research practices. The Seven Festivals of Israel in Leviticus chapter 23, served as the catalyst for this project. Two groups of postmoderns participated in an 8-week study of the festivals. The first group learned from traditional lecture-style lessons and the second explored more kinesthetic avenues of learning the material. This project examined the problem of the inhospitable attitudes of the church members toward ex-offenders who are returning to society. This education model offered a spiritually designed program provided by prison chaplains for church members to help change their attitudes so they would welcome ex-offenders into the pews. With a welcoming faith community to support ex-offenders upon release the high recidivism rate was addressed.
