A review of pastoral care and homiletical literature was conducted; twenty experienced United Methodist elders were interviewed; and four sermons were submitted that had been preached on a Sunday immediately following a preacher's difficult life event. After analysis, it was discovered that preachers relate to the topics they preach about. The concept of the risen Christ as the beginning of the new creation was used to affect the participants' formation in four areas: care for material creation, care for our physical bodies, proper understanding of God-centered worship, and continual dependence on Christ our Shepherd. Participants were tested before and after the project and showed much of the desired formational improvement. The case of this study is Ehwa Media High School.  this study proposes a spiritual education with these steps: meeting God, meeting our neighbors, and meeting ourselves.  It suggests the following proposals: spiritual education is needed in religious education of the school.  Knowledge-based religious education needs to be reconsidered.  Spiritual education brings about the participation of students and their transformation.  Spiritual education helps students have a good image of Christianity. The conduct of this project included interpersonal communication surveys of the participants, six hours of instruction in interpersonal communication, followed by a written examination. The participants were then evaluated by the project director in the practice of their interpersonal communication skills within a small group setting. Research followed a mixed-method approach. Interviews with nationals were followed by the development of a survey instrument. Thirty-three church planters trained by Crossover Communications International were studied. The research studied motivation and de-motivation from six perspectives: spiritual, economic, political/religious, relational, ministry activities, and training. Chapter 3 addresses how deacons can help preserve unity in the church by developing conflict resolution training skills.  Chapter 4 chronicles the research methodology of the project:  congregational surveys, preaching series, and sixteen-weeks of men's  training.
