The director researched the field of application in preaching through reviewing the Bible, searching publications about application in preaching, consulting experts, studying sermon examples, and conducting interviews with experienced preachers. The director reflected on the use of application in preaching to find general functions and principles of application and then developed a series of sermons that demonstrated the use of applications in preaching. The result was the formulation of a functioning and practical team-equipping process that focused on risk management. The project began by researching risk management. Upon completion of the research phase, the project director developed a curriculum of complete lesson plans and teaching material consisting of four training sessions to equip the team on risk management. The participants were evaluated before, during and after the study. The training focused on equipping students, who are given a lesson plan, to lead a group of their peers in studying Scriptures at an age-appropriate level of competence. Evaluation of the project director's growth and the effectiveness of the training occurred at the conclusion of the training event. The author wrote four sermons and planned four worship services based on those sermons. She charted questions on a Likert continuum, adding open-ended and reflection questions on a second page, and solicited volunteers to participate in the research. Seven worshipers volunteered, and attended four consecutive Sunday services, reflecting, answering questions on the form, and being interviewed. The research included demographic data specific to the Hmong people community in northeast Georgia, USA, and personal evangelism strategies available to train Christians locally and nationally. He focused on strengthening these skills. After a pre and post survey, the researcher scheduled workshops for training and refreshing their skills in administration and organization. The researcher observed the participants in workshop settings and actual pastoral duties in their church. It is the belief of the researcher that his goals were accomplished with significant success. He realized that fifty percent of the participants showed improvement. The study examined the relationship to authenticity of God's self-revelation, of personal awareness, the context of the small group as an emotional system, and self-differentiated leadership.
