The project director researched current models of adult disciple making and surveyed various methods for strategy building.  The director enlisted a select group of adults to serve on the strategic leadership team.  Together the director and strategic leadership team developed a strategy for discipling adults at Anthony Grove. Six sermons on personal relationship with God, uniqueness in Christ, commitment to the church, and hope for the future of the church, were prepared and preached. The select members were given evaluations to determine the extent to which they perceived these sermons to effect specific aspects of spiritual formation. It is good people who can change politics from 'dirty' to cleanliness. The argument favors clergy involvement in politics. Zambia's declaration as a Christian Nation augments the claim. The call for 'separation of Church and state' is an ideology that cannot take effect in Zambia because people there are prominently religious. It is practically impossible to separate the two. Findings revealed that a general structure of the lived experience emerged consisting of four theme clusters with fifteen invariant constituents: (1) the field leaders' role, (2) the field leaders' personal lives, (3) the field leaders' context, and (4) the essence of being a field leader. The primary focus was whether the building of multiracial congregations promotes racial understanding and reconciliation in a pluralistic society like the United States. To achieve that purpose, 40 Blacks and 40 Whites were surveyed and the data was categorized and analyzed. Therefore, this project employed a small group for the purpose of leading people to experience restoration by experiencing a greater sense of community and transformation, hope and healing. The significant finding was that people experienced greater levels of acceptance and affirmation. Group participants also reported feeling less isolated and more connected to God and one another. Preaching a lament opens listeners to deal with the real issues that burden them.  This thesis proposes specifically the reclaiming of the psalms of lament in preaching following the homiletic design for celebration of Frank Thomas.  With this integration the preacher is both the leader of lament and celebrant of God's presence. The cell group system has demonstrated the potential for dramatic congregational growth in differing cultures around the world. The theological basis for their use is to promote basic Christian community where people can intimately participate. The cells build up disciples to reach out to others. In my project I shut off the television for two months in order to gain more margin in time to impact these vital relationships. I recorded my findings in three separate journals. While my motives and priorities were the driving force behind my time use and impacted my relationships more than anything else, having the television off created the margin in time to search out the core motives that drive busyness.
