The project director conducted meetings with selected church planting staff, the evangelism staff of the Florida Baptist Convention, pastors, directors of missions, association church planting staff, and the African American Ministries division staff. The project had four stages. In the first stage the project director researched church planting that targeted the African American population. In the second stage four training plans were written. The third stage consisted of equipping the African American Ministries division. The new component included materials to support parents of autistic and other special needs children in their spiritual lives. The parents' response to written materials and participation in the blog, 'Continuing the conversation' was followed and evaluated. The blog reached a broader population than anticipated and its work focused on the themes of hospitality, parenting and children's spiritual development. Four select groups of women from Northeast Ohio pregnancy centers attended two-hour menopause seminars presented at each location over a six month period in 2009. The analysis used to determine the impact was obtained from the pre- and post- test questionnaire responses of the participants. A process guided by pastoral care conversations invited parishioners to acknowledge their raw feelings, explore their sources of pain, wrestle with faith practices and open to healing experiences. The hermeneutical approach to this project was based in narrative. Various research tools were used to aid this congregation to connect with the wider story of the church including: focus groups, surveys, semi-structured interviews, and feedback forms. In the context of 'deep listening,' conversation was an effective and inclusive leadership approach to healing this conflicted conversation and cultivating within them the capacity to discern a shared sense of mission and vision. The eight-week study sought to empower students with an understanding of what being a disciple means and having an ability to implement the practices of disciples. At the conclusion of the workshop, students were equipped to begin meeting with two or three students, training them to be disciple-making disciples. The need for this training was significant due to an apparent void of university students who are disciple-making disciples. For the children and youth there were Sunday school classes, seminars, Muslim guests, and a children's sermon on symbols of Islam, Judaism, and Christianity. Adults learned through classes, panel discussions, seminars, book groups and guests.  All ages studied the basic tenets of Islam. Similarities and dissimilarities between Islam and Christianity were explored. This survey required a self examination in this area. Thirty volunteers from the membership took the survey and the findings are documented accordingly. It is significant to note the voice from the women, which represented the majority of the participants, are as unsupportive as men regarding women in leadership roles.
