The project director began this project with a discussion with Dr. Wayne Harvey, Director of Missions of the Santa Fe River Association, by researching the field of evangelism, and by the administration of a survey in High Springs, Florida, to determine if churches are doing marketplace evangelism. The project director researched various evangelism materials to determine which evangelism skill development would have the most potential to be effective in marketplace evangelism. After reviewing the literary work in the field of evangelism, analyzing the results of the survey, compiling a list of evangelistic skills, and the development of a comparison grid, the project director developed a curriculum and a one-day workshop, and trained selected members in marketplace evangelism skills. The project director used an expert evaluation, student evaluation, pretest and post-test to analyze his ability to write a curriculum, to train selected members, and to improve his marketplace evangelism skills."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["5e492469-490e-44a3-90c1-17560a603bc2"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791125981788897280,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T06:20:46.280Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:38:05Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T07:46:18Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"0bbc609a-eb18-4556-bce6-60b2cfb8c3a7","accessControl_ssim":["67313ecd-b1c9-446f-9a8a-50e255c0fe3c"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["The effective use of a transformation team at Litz Manor Baptist Church"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:38:04Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:26:49Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["731c1bee-5d22-495a-b667-02aa5e3a971f"],"hasLease_ssim":["beff2003-3658-461d-9a77-6af571c3bf5e"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary"],"advisor_tesim":["Phillip Conner"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Dallas Bivins"],"publisher_tesim":["Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary"],"subject_tesim":["Church renewal--Baptists","Litz Manor Baptist Church (Kingsport, Tenn)","Church growth","Church group work"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The purpose of this project was to help a dying church grow. This author was invited to speak at the inaugural pastor's conference hosted by the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention. The need for a biblical pre-marital and marriage counseling manual that will equip Protestant ministers to assist people in building their marriages on the foundation of God's word was discovered through formal and informal discussions with indigenous ministers. The manual emphasizes the truth that marriage is God's creation and not solely man's institution, as propogated by the Soviet regime. Therefore the Bible is the source for identifying the purpose as well as understanding the principles for marriage. Chapters include the following teachings: the authority and sufficiency of scripture for biblical counseling, building a biblical foundation for marriage, pre-marital counseling, divorce and remarriage, and counseling for major marriage problems. This work underscores the sufficiency of scripture in marital counseling, while equipping the minister to provide counsel that addresses the particular needs of his flock with confident humility."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["b2ad2862-737d-4dde-8145-b9b6962ac5f3"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132172813336576,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T07:59:10.501Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:37:35Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:26:46Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"93477fbb-6b0f-4ad6-8c69-8834f0f96c83","accessControl_ssim":["e4610861-b9cb-4afa-b4b1-72964b5361e5"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Transforming Indian communities: an innovative educational and ministry model"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:37:34Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-17T02:26:46Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["5c744e73-bcb2-4021-b074-71355fab64e4"],"hasLease_ssim":["b3c72431-3066-415d-b167-00f0f500e1ea"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"advisor_tesim":["Samuel D Rima"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"location_tesim":["India"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Saji K Lukos"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"subject_tesim":["Church and social problems","Christians","Church","Community development","Social change","Economic development--Religious aspects"],"language_tesim":["English"],"abstract_tesim":["The Christian church in India has not been effective at bringing holistic transformation to the burning issues of Indian communities. Treatment participants' overall ministry effectiveness categorically improved 51 percent (soul trauma, 0.36, spiritual transformation, 0.51, social transition, 0.40, and situational transmission, 0.76)."],"rights_statement_tesim":["https://rightsstatements.org/vocab/InC/1.0/"],"thumbnail_path_ss":"/assets/work-a3b75da7abded620ab321410c80d102e5e2417b71c54de7ba7d4b0363da904f7.png","suppressed_bsi":false,"actionable_workflow_roles_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-approving","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-depositing","f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8-default-managing"],"workflow_state_name_ssim":["deposited"],"member_of_collections_ssim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"member_of_collection_ids_ssim":["fccbc3d7-874c-42e3-8a20-621b107c56c7"],"visibility_ssi":"open","admin_set_tesim":["Metadata Only"],"account_cname_tesim":["rim.ir.atla.com"],"human_readable_type_tesim":["Etd"],"read_access_group_ssim":["work_editor","public"],"edit_access_group_ssim":["admin"],"edit_access_person_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"_version_":1791132911782592512,"timestamp":"2024-02-17T08:10:55.237Z","score":1.0},{"system_create_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:37:03Z","system_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:26:18Z","has_model_ssim":["Etd"],"id":"0b878c89-2780-4a96-a3fd-ddfb27b525e7","accessControl_ssim":["2ed31424-70ac-41d2-9d19-e26152ef14c1"],"depositor_ssim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"depositor_tesim":["ckarpinski@atla.com"],"title_tesim":["Developing next generation leaders: strength-based leadership for children 10-13 years old"],"date_uploaded_dtsi":"2023-10-12T14:37:02Z","date_modified_dtsi":"2024-02-16T22:26:18Z","isPartOf_ssim":["f6c99b2a-5c91-4444-8946-01a1837f1fd8"],"hasEmbargo_ssim":["91b31b16-06e6-40b3-9658-0075090aae33"],"hasLease_ssim":["ded2be3a-e18f-4e09-b488-b9f3273f6656"],"show_pdf_viewer_tesim":["1"],"show_pdf_download_button_tesim":["1"],"institution_tesim":["Atla RIM"],"degree_tesim":["Unknown"],"degree_granting_institution_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"advisor_tesim":["Justin Irving"],"year_tesim":["2012"],"resource_type_tesim":["Unknown"],"types_tesim":["Text"],"creator_tesim":["Debra Lynn Moncauskas"],"keyword_tesim":["Christian education of youth"],"publisher_tesim":["Bethel Seminary (St. Paul, MN)"],"subject_tesim":["Leadership--Religious aspects--Christianity","Christian education of children","Ability","Church work with children","Church work with youth","Christian education"],"language_tesim":["English"],"alternative_title_tesim":["Developing next generation leaders: strength-based leadership for children ten to thirteen years old"],"abstract_tesim":["This thesis addressed the lack of intentional leadership development among children within a faith context. In May 2010, the congregation took the Gallup ME25 survey. Case studies were conducted on churches that had made similar efforts. A resurvey in November 2011 occurred following efforts to focus on people's strengths. Meaningful increases were found on multiple items with many increased responses.
