The results would help to establish better, cooperative relationships between the two peoples and to help them work for the Lord together. Trying to overcome the language barrier through teaching American Christians how to praise in Korean would show the possibility of different ethnic churches working together in harmony. Participants received training and encouragement to select their personal peer group during an initial orientation seminar and were equipped to engage their peer groups in twelve subsequent weekly meetings. With the assumption that knowledge and understanding of another's experiences generally diminishes negative feelings and prejudices, this project employed the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy (SEE) created by Dr. Yu-Wei Wang as a pre- and post-test. Tests measured participants' attitudes toward people of different ethnic origin and cultures than their own. Participants were invited to engage a variety of spiritual practices via email and a Facebook (FB) group during the season of Advent (2012). The majority (88.2%) of youth completing the post-Advent survey relayed that the project helped them make time or find time for God in their lives.
