This project considers how Sportvereine ('sport clubs') offer a promising gospel outreach ministry through community partnership and social networking. Could this gap be bridged? Survey findings revealed common obstacles; however, Kid's Games, Sola and Elebniscamp Kirche und Sport represented three separate models that met with a modicum of success closing the 'sacred-secular' gap. This was accomplished operating from a values-based platform. By contrast, this thesis, based on the experience of 'real world' evangelization and on the premise that true Christian mission methods and outcomes are ultimately 'spiritually discerned,' examines the influence of a missions strategy consisting not of 'scientifically' determined mission 'methods,' but the integration of five simple, New Testament-based 'core values' which manifest in the attitudes, experiences and tangible results of Iris Global's ministry, primarily in Mozambique, Africa. The study utilizes action research to explore variables that impact the probability for healing. Many people experienced healings from surgically implanted materials with pain reduced or movement restored by 80 percent or more, much higher than from traditional therapies. This thesis suggests several approaches to equipping and empowering young adults to have confidence in their own faith narratives, and then to share those stories with others. This study utilized a qualitative design, using semi-structured interviews with eight pastors serving in the Presbyterian Church in America. The literature review and interview analysis focused on how ISTJ pastors perceived their effectiveness as leaders, their motivation, their understanding of others' perceptions of their leadership, and how they develop strategies for stronger leadership. The study followed a qualitative research method, utilizing semi-structured interviews with six pastors, analyzed in a constant comparative method. The research explored perceptions of the pastoral relationship, evaluation, emotional intelligence, and ongoing sermon preparation.
