It explores this challenge through the biblical stories of Joseph in Nebuchadnezzar's Court, Daniel in Pharaoh's Court, Esther in the court of Xeroxes, and through the teachings of Jesus. The writings of Luther, Calvin, Packer, Newbigin, and Kirkwood were researched for their theological implications for ministry in church and state. Christian chaplains and supervisors were interviewed to describe their ministries. Twenty-one students of a Christian university completed a survey and interview, and then attended fossil-hunting field trips with a Christian paleontologist. On the trips, the students engaged in scientific fieldwork, scientific discussion, and faith discussion. Other activities included a lecture on paleontology at the university and classroom discussions of experiences. Students journaled after each activity. After all activities, exit surveys and interviews were conducted. The project director assimilated a strategy team of Johnson Ferry Baptist ministers and staff members, and led this group through the development of the proposed outreach strategy. The strategy team met once a week for six weeks to develop the strategy for the church. The project director, based on completed research, instructed the strategy team on the findings of millennial research, outreach practices, and strategy planning essentials. The project director then led the team to develop the multifaceted strategy. With John 9:1-41 as a theological context, and assisted by a team of the child's family members and select parishioners, the pastor developed and executed a plan of liturgical reintroduction by appropriating some best practices from deafblind education, including the use of an intervener and the creation of a 'tactile missalete.' The researcher conducted a biblical review of female prophets from the Bible, in particular, from the Old Testament. Grounded in positive psychology, four developmental areas framed the inquiry into the leadership development process, each representing an area of identity work. A close-ended survey and open-ended interview protocol were used.
