This project is intended to help today’s churches unravel and decode the complex reality in which these young adults live. If successful, this project will have done this in three different ways. First, the study will offer a theological way of bridging the gap between the world of Millennials and the knowledge of such in the church. The study will do that through the use of a tool of a four-week Biblical study of the book of Luke. Second, the study will offer a practical way of decoding the world of Millenials by offering four pointed essays examining the world in which Millennials live. Spiritual warfare is often defined by its practitioners as a conflict between God and the heavenly host against Satan and his malevolent forces of evil for the souls of people. According to many Christian traditions, the Bible states that Jesus has given the church authority and power to employ spiritual warfare practices like prayer, laying on of hands, anointing with oil, or exorcisms. This study was conducted utilizing that qualitative research methodology of the ethnographic interview. Dyadic Adjustment Scale, and the Experiences in Close Relationships Inventory provided scales to measure marital interaction processes and marital satisfaction. The objective of this study was to understand the experiences of those couples in long-term remarriages and the demonstrations of satisfaction as related to marriage relationship. The project director led selected members of Cumming Baptist Church to develop a multifaceted relational evangelism strategy that will minister effectively to the millennial population of Forsyth County, Georgia.The strategy formation team met for six sessions to develop the strategy for the church. The project director instructed the team on demographic data from Forsyth County, information on millennials found through research, best relational evangelism practices, the biblical rationale for relational evangelism, and strategy formation technique. With this knowledge, the strategy formation team, led by the project director, developed a multifaceted relational evangelism strategy. During the past decade, at SAUMC, the need to reach the next generation has reached a critical point. The community around the church holds multiple mosaic identities which identifies which were utilized in developing the strategy to reach this narrowed demographic. Current literature on the topic and strategic planning assist in identifying key methodologies St. Andrew's can implement. The millennial generation desires a church that reflects ancient aspects while blending contemporary distinctiveness. This change in ministry thinking, style, and context provides the church with the perfect opportunity to evolve. This project identifies strategies utilized by churches that are successfully reaching the largest and most unchurched population in the United States. There is, however, a gap in the literature as it pertains to African American women. This project seeks to study the impact of race, gender, and faith on African American women when they are faced with the reentry process. Primarily, through their narratives, I am motivated to see if faith can be a resource for empowering them to move beyond the systems of inequality of race, and gender when facing reentry. Evangelical Anglicans are impelled by both Scripture and mission to consider the New Testament pattern of plural local leaders or elders. This research explored the experience of Anglican ministers and church planters who established locally-shared shared pastoral leadership through a Ministry Leadership Team (MLT).The purpose of the research was to explore the benefits of shared leadership for making and maturing disciples. In surveying the literature advocating the benefits and biblical precedents of shared leadership, it was noted that in contrast to other evangelicals, Anglicans apply the biblical data using the Normative Principle derived from the work of Richard Hooker. Four questions guided the research: (1) How does the local church’s shepherding ministry strengthen the work of making disciples? (2) What are the benefits of a ministry leadership team in the work of making disciples? (3) What practices have promoted collaborative working between members of the ministry leadership team, with particular regard to the work of making disciples Church? (4) How is the pastors’ Anglican self-identity manifest in the practice of shared local ministry leadership?Nine UK pastors were interviewed using a semi-structured questionnaire with the data analyzed using the constant comparative method. Common and clear benefits are articulated by the respondents. The lay offices of churchwarden and PCC were also re- evaluated with respect to the responsibilities outlined in the New Testament for churchofficers. The respondents exhibited a clear and confessional Anglican identity. Possible models for accommodating a MLT within the existing parochial structures are explored. In more extreme cases, preaching is regarded as “ineffective” and even an “impediment” to “going missional.” This greatly troubled me, especially since I am part of a Reformed tradition that affirms the ministry of Word and Sacrament as a primary means of grace by which the triune God missionizes us and forms us as a missional people. So I set out to explore the relationship between the Ministry of Word and Sacrament and the missio Dei, particularly interested in what kind of preaching cultivates a missional imagination among God’s people. I came to the conclusion that the kind of preaching that does this is that which draws people into the drama of the triune God’s mission, where our lives get re-scripted in Christ and we are transformed and empowered by the Spirit to improvise our parts (“play Christ”) to the glory of God and for the sake of the world. I then set out to identify key characteristics of missonal preaching toward this end.
