In the second phase, the project director researched existing models of disciple-making to determine best practices. The third phase of the project involved the project director leading a strategy team to develop a disciple-making strategy for the church. Is there an effective method of intervention that can change the direction of struggling churches? This project designed an intervention utilizing the adaptive challenge approach to help churches discern the next step. After a six- week Bible Study followed by a workshop, their values and beliefs were challenged. The project director informed the team on demographic data from Henry County, data about millennials discovered in research, outreach strategies, and strategy formation essentials. The project director then led the team to develop a multifaceted outreach strategy. The pastor of Union Baptist Church in Clarke County, Mississippi, is planning to launch Christian addiction-recovery ministries centered on weekday Celebrate Recovery [registered symbol] meetings. The ministries are collaborative works involving selected Chrsitians from Southern Baptist churches in the local Baptist associations. Phase two of these ministries include the addition of a rotating Friday night contemporary worship service at the same non-church locations where the weekday meetings will be held. Three goals are the foundation of this Doctor of Ministry equipping project. The first goal is to research addiction recovery in order to identify group facilitation skills. The right character for Christians was assessed from the nine fruits of the Spirit as mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23, from which a weekly training program was actualized using lectures and sharing in small groups. Project results showed that the character of trained lay leaders showed improvements manifested in the leadership. For this purpose, a project is carried out that is early morning prayer meeting for forty days, which is performed with the theology, life of John Wesley and his standard sermons. For forty days, a variety of members as the different denominations and ages are participated. After this program, I take a survey via questionnaires and interview for ascertaining the meaning and the influence of this project. The participants testify, through this early morning prayer meeting, that they can experience spiritual growth. I focus on the relation between spirituality and improvement in the quality of life of the elderly, for that is the way in which the problems of an aging society will best be tackled. To this end, I developed a program titled 'spiritual formation for improving the quality of life for the elderly.' The program ran for eight weeks in the Hyun-Nam Church where I am the senior pastor. The project was conducted with the help of three social workers, and the results were assessed with the help of a questionnaire.
