Liturgy involves a multidimensional language that is both verbal and non-verbal.  The qualitative research explored the question: What lived experience makes worship meaningful for persons within the United Church of Canada?  Conversations with three women and three men were taped, transcribed and developed into narrative stories.  Subsequently the author identified themes within and challenges for worship through analysis and hermeneutic exploration. Relevant worship themes included: hospitality, space, embodiment, and a felt sense of authenticity and awe. By developing and implementing a plan for musical drama to enrich families at Redeemer Lutheran, Springfield, Missouri, the author sought to strengthen these families, providing opportunities to build positive assets or building blocks into their lives. They cannot employ all the pastoral, spiritual, and emotional caregivers that are needed.  The model in this project and paper expands upon the 'wholistic healing' of mind, body and spirit, using trained clergy and lay volunteers, recruited through community religious resources. Restructuring of a department of pastoral and spiritual care can offer Spirit-filled volunteers, encouragement, administrative support, training, and supervision.  This benefits not only the health care provider but also the clients, their family, friends, staff personnel and the community they serve. There were different combinations of study and research used. They range from networking with other pastoral and spiritual care persons  who work in medical facilities, reading some of the latest materials on what experienced persons in this discipline were researching, studying, and writing.  Much of the project was also a result of 'on the job training,' drawing upon twenty-five years of background in pastoral, spiritual and emotional care.  A conclusion reached is that clergy and lay volunteers, by reason of their baptism, are willing to assist health care providers in offering pastoral, spiritual and emotional care with patients and their families and staff personnel. The purpose of this project was to engage an important theological text in order to be further formed as a spiritual person and as a pastor.  The fundamental premise of this paper was to know God more fully, is to love God more deeply, which results in serving God more faithfully. Five church members were chosen to engage in ten sessions about church marketing which would include the development of a marketing plan for Oakland Baptist Church.  This marketing plan was designed to create a postive awareness of Oakland Baptist Church among the unchurched of  Henry County, Georgia. A study of the literature distilled six optimum components of leadership development methodology that have remained constant through time.  With the help of an expert panel, the current landscape of leadership training programs for evangelical ministers in North America was described.  Four best-practice models were selected and examined in detail for compliance with the optimum components, employing the qualitative research methodology of interviews with leaders and participants.  The study provided suggestions that can optimize transformation of leaders in training. This was an evaluation study in the experimental mode that utilized a pre- and post-test design with no comparison group.  The 117 churched subjects demonstrated some statistically significant cognitive and, to a lesser degree, affective changes.  The thirteen unchurched subjects did not.
